Our Story
The Proof of Work Foundation was established in 2026 in Sacramento, California — the same year the 20 millionth Bitcoin was mined. That milestone marked a turning point: with only 1 million Bitcoin left to be created, the urgency of understanding sound money has never been greater.
We saw a gap in Sacramento. People were curious about Bitcoin but had nowhere to go for honest, accessible education. No sales pitches. No hype. Just clear explanations of what Bitcoin is, why it matters, and how it works.
That's what we built. The Proof of Work Foundation exists to educate — not sell. We bring Bitcoin understanding to individuals, businesses, and communities across the Sacramento region and beyond.

Why Bitcoin Education Matters
Bitcoin is the hardest money ever created. With a fixed supply of 21 million coins, it represents a fundamental shift in how we think about money, savings, and financial freedom.
But most people don't understand it yet. They hear about price volatility and miss the deeper story: a decentralized network secured by proof of work, resistant to censorship, inflation, and political manipulation.
